PCC decision regarding future of church building

PCC decision regarding future of church building

Dear All

Following the open church meeting yesterday morning, the PCC met and voted, making the very difficult decision not to actively pursue funding the necessary repairs to the building and furthermore agreeing to begin the necessary process of closing the building.  Having taken professional advice we have given ourselves until the 31st January 2016 at which point the building will close.  We are committed to finding suitable accommodation for worship and mission elsewhere before that time.

We know from past experience that God is a God of miracles and this might not be the end of us using the building, however we would need a considerable financial miracle.  We believe that our calling is to the City Centre and that we very much have a future together.  We are excited to continue pioneering new ways of being and sharing the Good News as we welcome people to meet Jesus.  We will work hard to keep you all informed of developments.

We recognise that for many this news will be a real blow and as always we are available to chat through the implications of this decision.  Please be assured of our love and prayers.
